The Four Pillars of JCI
Today’s global challenges require innovative and creative solutions. JCI empowers young people to become active citizens, take responsibility for global challenges in their community and identify targeted, sustainable solutions. Motivated by the passion to transform their community and the world, JCI members have the courage to address the most critical challenges of our time.
Take Action & Provide Sustainable Solutions
JCI is a nonprofit organization of young active citizens age 18 to 40 who are engaged and committed to creating impact in their communities. Active citizens are individuals invested in the future of our world. JCI gathers active citizens from all sectors of society. We develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to make informed decisions and take action.
JCI members have the opportunity to participate in several programs to further develop their leadership skills and earn recognition for their creative problem-solving. Some programs like JCI TOYP, Public Speaking, Debating, Twinning and Awards ceremony.
Unite with JCI members and partners from across the world at one of the many JCI events hosted each year. With four area conferences, one world congress and a variety of other opportunities to meet, there are opportunities available for our members to network and engage with like-minded young leaders.
JCI Courses are categorized into Foundational Courses, Leadership Courses and Advanced Courses. These courses are designed to develop leaders through their JCI Local Organizations to fulfill the JCI mission of providing development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change around the world.
Community spirit in JCI doesn’t stop at a local level; many national and international projects take place each year. JCI is an official partner of the United Nations and supports the UN Millennium Development Goals.
